Developer

Position Summary
The candidate will be responsible for building websites and software web pages related to
internal and Partner-facing development projects. They will interface with stakeholders on a
number of teams including Marketing, Graphics, Project Management, Web
Development and Quality Assurance.

Transforming mock-ups / wire frames / content into
hand-coded, accessible and standards-compliant templates that display correctly
in all modern browsers
·
Developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and debugging static
and dynamic web pages
·
Coordinating with Web Developers for specialized scripts and
complex functionality pieces
·
Coordinating with Marketing and Graphics to build landing
pages, promotions and marketing websites
·
Attending technical meetings and meeting with project
stakeholders to understand requirements and identify specific tasks (providing
estimates and details to the appropriate Project Manager)
·
Providing rapid prototyping for analytic user interface
concept designs
·
Providing user interface design improvements such as
reusable page / screen templates, widgets, code snippets, etc.
Essential
Skills/Qualifications
·
5+ years experience designing, developing, updating, and
maintaining Web sites and pages.
·
5+ years experience with the use of Web site / page creation
tools such as HTML, DHTML, CSS, Javascript, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe CS 4 or
Adobe Illustrator and Adobe PhotoShop
·
Deep understanding of browsers, platforms, compatibility,
accessibility, and usability issues. Must
be able to address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different
browsers and computing platforms.
·
Experience in creating and maintaining websites based on
content management systems
Experience utilizing various types of IT project methodologies and life cycles,
including Agile.
·
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are
required
·
Self-starter who takes initiative, requires minimal
supervision, can
handle multiple tasks at the same time
·
Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and complete
deliverables within specified time frames
·
Effective team player with the ability to work independently
·
An appreciation of end-user needs and
requirements with ability to see the big picture
* Knowledge
of appropriate usage of the latest versions of Flash ActionScript as well as
ASP.NET would be beneficial
