Intermediate Interface Designer

What we are looking for is an Intermediate Interface Designer to support the creative vision of a design team that knows life is short and employment should be an enjoyable experience.
We are a leader in the online entertainment/gaming sector and work with a number of top tier partners. We provide initial brand development, game design and support, campaign development and marketing leadership.
It sounds very formal but really, there are party hats and doughnuts.
POSITION SUMMARY
As part of the Design team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following areas:
- Help to lead design vision for the organization
- Provide concept and execution for partner/client brands
- Conceive and construct interfaces for online sites, software applications and marketing campaigns including; web advertising, online content, and rich media.
- Work with the internal development team on revisions to the game application and features
- Assist with development systems and best practices in the production of design work as it applies from department to department
- Work to develop brand standards for various client /partner brands
- Act as a point of review for design work prior to it being distributed to the business team and partners/clients.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of design experience within an agency or in house design team
- Education credentials to support design knowledge and skill set
- Extensive web and online marketing experience
- Extensive experience and education in interface design usability through specializations like Information Architecture or navigation breakdowns.
- Knowledge of appropriate usage of the latest versions of Flash (including ActionScript) PhotoShop, ImageReady, and Illustrator
- Understanding of HTML, DHTML, CSS, and JavaScript (rollovers, pop-ups) and the capabilities of web browsers
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to manage timelines
